A speculative fire station proposal for Palmerston, Darwin, developed as an architectural study to explore what the site and brief could become. Although never constructed, the concept investigated a civic facility shaped for the Northern Territory climate, balancing operational clarity, resilience, shade and a strong public presence.

A direct pedestrian axis leads to the public entrance, unifying the station’s operational wings beneath broad, climate-responsive roofs.

A climate-responsive fire station concept shaped by deep shade, generous canopies and clear circulation around a welcoming civic courtyard.

A clearly defined public entrance separates visitor arrival from emergency operations within a calm, climate-responsive civic setting.

A low, linear form separates public and operational areas, with deep canopies and durable materials suited to the Territory climate.
